Firms such as Forever 21 and H&M have adopted a just-in-time (JIT) or quick response (QR) inventory system. Why is this type of inventory especially valuable in a market like fashion clothing?

The main reason behind the wide application of JIT and QR systems in fashion industries is that JIT methodology follows a system of quick adaptation which allows companies to fulfill demands quickly. As we know ,fashion industry is forever changing and at a rapid face which means inventory levels must be as low as possible ,which is also a philosophy of JIT or QR systems ,which means if the trend suddenly changes ,companies won't have out of trend inventory lying around,this helps saves costs and resources.
