5. SSL and Encryption

When the end user visits a page that is protected by SSL, their web browser communicates over a secure channel with the web server, and so that all data transmitted is sent over this encrypted channel. Encryption makes it hard for the attacker to understand and decrypt the data for his use even if he gets a hand on the data. All users will connect securely if you have a SSL certificate. So data can't be eavesdropped and can't be tampered or changed. Users can trust that they are connecting to your web site securely and know that your site is secure.
