The history of laws is different in various countries. It is not possible to detect when laws were first introduced. But the history of civilization reveals how laws were introduced. The advancement of laws took place with the advancement of the civilization. Mainly laws were introduced to prevent criminal activities. Therefore even in the ancient laws the criminals would ne punished.
In the ancient days men would live in the forest. Man is a social animal. They always maintain some social rules. In the ancient days there were no written laws. Naturally there was no system of administration. People had to obey the stringer persons in the community. They would live together and they would obey the rule of the community.
Then there came the monarchical system. When there was monarchical system there originated some definite laws. Then to maintain laws and order soldiers would be employed. People would feel the need of the laws. At that period there would be violation of the laws. People would be victim of injustice and immorality. Society was not secured then.
Gradually human civilization advanced and people become more aware with education. Man is intelligent animal. So man feels the need of laws and order. Such feeling also occured. Then states were divided along with the beginning of the monarchical ruling system. Then in most of the countries people revolted for the establishment of laws and order. With the spread of democracy then started definite laws and rules.
History of laws beats some social and environmental perspectives. The history of laws brings to us the laws of ancient Egypt. The other states made laws following the laws of Egypt and the need of the people. I making laws various perspectives work like religion, community culture, traditions etc. However, in making laws ways the needs of all types of people are always considered. Now, in every country, various types of laws have been introduced to stop criminal activities.
