If 30% of the students are required to use the more complex step D for financial aid ? clarification, what is the capacity for the process?

Answer 1= The capacity of A-B-C-E will be equal to the bottleneck step's capacity

So the capacity fo activity A= 60/2=30 student /hr

the capacity fo activity B= 60/5=12 student/hr

the capacity fo activity C= 60/6=10 student/hr

the capacity fo activity E= 60/4=15 student/hr

As the least capacity is 10 students/hr, so the capacity of A-B-C-E will be 10 students/hr

Answer 2= The capacity of A-B-D-E will be equal to the bottleneck step's capacity

So the capacity fo activity A= 60/2=30 student /hr

the capacity fo activity B= 60/5=12 student/hr

the capacity fo activity D= 60/10=6 student/hr

the capacity fo activity E= 60/4=15 student/hr

As the least capacity is 6 students/hr, so the capacity of A-B-D-E will be 6 students/hr

Answer 3= Capacity for the process = (60/10)*0.3 +(60/6)*0.7=8.8 students/hr
