Amount needed at beginning of P3 = 97000/(1-0.03) = 100000

Amount needed at beginning of P2 = 100000/(1-0.01) = 101010

Amount needed at beginning of P1 = 101010/(1-0.04) = 105219

Amount needed to produce the market-estimaed units = 105,219

b) Standard time = 3.15/(1-12%) = 3.58 minutes

Number of workers required = 97000*3.58/(8*60) = 724 workers
