NERVOUS SYSTEM

Nervous system consists of CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM & PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM (CNS)

It is nervous system consists of brain (including midbrain, pons and medulla) and spinal cord

PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM (PNS)

peripheral nervous system is a nervous system present outside the brain and spinal cord which relays with central nervous system

PNS carry stimulus from periphery and send into CNS

From CNS it process and a response is initiated ,

Then response impulse is carried to effector organ through PNS

PNS is again two type

1. Somatic nervous system

2. Autonomic nervous system

SOMATIC NERVOUS SYSTEM

it is peripheral nervous system type which carry impulse from CNS to skeletal muscles

it is under voluntary control

Somatic nerve endings releases acetylcholine which act on cholinergic receptor present on neuromuscular junction and stimulate the muscle

AUTONOMIC NERVOUS SYSTEM

it is a type of PNS which innervates all the structures except skeletal muscle.

it is also known as GENERAL VISCERAL EFFERANT SYSTEM

It supplies to smooth muscles( of bronchi ,iris , GIT e.t.c),glands, myocardium

It is under involuntary control

VOLUNTARY CONTROL-control of our body part with our will ,

Consciously we can control the part ex: skeletal muscle

INVOLUNTARY CONTROL- this control is not based on our will , we can't consciously control ex: smooth muscles ,glands , myocardium

Side A

1.

Dorsal root ganglion dorsal root of spinal nerve doysal horn Dorsal(posterior) Foppas dorsal ramus of spinal nerve lateral gr

2. Afferent pathway of sensory nerve

dorsal root ganglion dendrite wopom Fotoga xon nuclei e lateral pray horno T-L₂ орт ventral учәл

Cell body is located in dorsal root ganglion

Somatic efferent pathway

median cell bodies lateral pray •) horno Ti-Lq median Ventral motor neuron ventral

It is multipolar lower motor neuron directly innervates muscle

No synapse

Side B

1.

sympathetic chain ganglia grey Rami later y horn white rami splanchnic nerve collateral ganglia to adrena medulla

Cell bodies are located in the grey matter (lateral grey horn of spinal cord )

Segment T1-T12,L1-L3

They are preganglionic nerve fibre

Cell bodies of postganglionic nerve fibres are located in the sympathetic ganglion and collateral ganglion

SYMPATHETIC OUTFLOW PATHWAY

to adrena medulla — pl i c nerve fibre -postganglionic nerve fibres

I hope u understood

Pls rate ,thank you
