Marketing question.
A weekly subscription meal delivery service that sells healthy children (age 2 to 12) snacks . Whose target market are millennial parents.
1. What will be the Price of your product/service?
2. How did you arrive at the price you selected?
3. What pricing strategy will you utilize in the introduction phase?
4. What are the ethical issues that need to be addressed?
5. Anything else you think is appropriate.
1. The meal would provide snacks to healthy children. If we consider children would require snacks twice a day, during morning and during evening. Morning snacks should be little heavy while evening snacks can be lighter.
The price would be Rs 100/day. Every week it would charge Rs 700. The subscription fees for the month would be Rs 2500 per children.
2. To provide for nutritious diet, the basic ingredients like egg, milk, fruits are essential. On an average the cost of such a diet would be Rs 50 each diet. So Rs 100/day.
3. In the introduction phase we would provide an early bird discount of 20%. Customers who would subscribe for our monthly services by 3rd of the month would get the monthly subscription at Rs 2000.
4. Ethical issues are food should be completely natural and nutritious. We cannot compromise with the quality of the food. Since the diet is for children we should try to do away with chemicals.
5. Apart from the snacks service we can slowly start working on full meals like lunch and dinner as well going ahead.
