for an electronic device with equivalent inductance and resistance , the time constant of such a L-R equivalent circuit of the device is given by

\tau =\frac{L_{eq}}{R{eq}}

therefore, the equivalent inductance is given by

L_{eq}=\tau R_{eq}=1.2\times2.59=3.108H
