I am looking not for the answer. but more so the steps. My textbook gave the answer of 104.223.28. I know one of my steps is wrong and I am getting a different answer. Payment 3500, PayPer-semiannually, Intr 8% Compsemiannually,length 10yrs- what is the FV?
I figured it out: (1+0.04)20-1= (1.04)20/0.04 =2.1911-1/0.04= 1.1911/0.04= 29.778
29.778*3500=104.221.25 close enough
SOLUTION :
r per semi-annual period = 8/2 = 4% = 0.04
=> (1 + r) = 1.04
n = 10*2 = 20 semi-annual periods.
A = 3500 (assumed as $)
So,
FV
= A((1 + r)^n - 1) / r
= 3500(1.04^20 - 1) / (0.04)
= 104223.28 ($) (ANSWER).
In the following ordinary annuity, the interest is compounded with each payment, and the payment is made at the end of the compounding period. Find the amount of time needed for the sinking fund to reach the given accumulated amount. (Round your answer to two decimal places.) $3500 yearly at 8% to accumulate $100,000 Please elaborate on the steps. I've completed the question following samples and my textbook and keep getting it wrong
I am working on a problem set that involves calculating the future value of a series of payments over 18 years. The first year, there is one lump payment and the remaining years there is a lesser payment but remains the same amount paid annually. When I use the FV function in excel and apply the first lump as PV, and the following identical payments as PMT, I get the answer, however, to cross check my work, I run the...
Find the amount of an ordinary annuity in which you make a payment of $1500 at the end of 3 months at 8% per annum, compounded quarterly. I am having trouble with this problem because I feel as though there is missing information (specifically, the length of time over which these payments are made or how long the annuity is to continue) but the textbook provides more than one question of this type, so I assume that this was intentional....

Here is the question: Noise produced by resistor is to be amplified by noiseless amplifier having voltage gain 75 and bandwidth 100kHz. A sensitive meter at output reads 240uV rms. Assuming operations at 37 degrees Celsius, calculate resistors resistance. I know K= 1.38 x10-23 J/K I used equation 1-9 associated with this problem from the textbook: en2/4 = kT(bandwidth)R Where R = (en2/4) / kT(bandwidth) R = ((240*10-6)2/4) / (1.38*10-23) * (37+273) * (100*103) R= (1.44*10-8) / (4.14*10-16) R= 34.78...
I am currently trying to characterize the different peaks in my

in the 2.5-3.3 range are impurities of water and DMSO), when there
would be 8 possible signals.I am looking for someone to help me understand how a
meta-substituent would affect H NMR shift, and...
