Initial exchanges of public keys are vulnerable to man-in-the-middle attacks. Describe as many defences against it as you can.
`Hey,
Note: Brother in case of any queries, just comment in box I would be very happy to assist all your queries
Below figure depicts the attack

One must do something additional to stop MITM attack.
One way to do this is if there is a trusted third party that can
verify (for Bob) that the key he received is Alice's public key.
(This is what TLS does.)
Another is if everyone's public keys are stored in a secure cite
that anyone can access but where you cannot change anyone else's
public key. Then Bob can simply check that kpubM really came from
Alice.
If there is such a site, Alice could, in fact, generate the key
herself and then send it doubly encrypted to Bob via:
F(kpubB,F(kprivA,k))
Then only Bob could decrypt the outer encryption with his public
key and and, then, he decrypts the result with Alice's public key.
This should guarantee that no-one else can decrypt the outer
encryption and only Alice could have encrypted the result of that
decryption.
Kindly revert for any queries
Thanks.

Sharing secret keys can be done only by exchanging messages over the Internet. The government requires that it be the only certification agency for public keys, that RSA be the only public-key crypto technique that can be used, and that all public-key cryptography users have their keys certified by the government. Furthermore, the government creates the public key for...

There are many examples of how computer systems are vulnerable due to failure, destruction, errors, and abuse. By doing a search of the Internet or by other research methods, find an example of an organization that faced an information systems security issue or crisis. Ponder these questions: (these questions serve as a guide; try to answer as many as you can & remember to post references) 1) How did the organization identify that there was a security problem? 2) What,...
In your initial post, please address the following: Describe a situation, either personal or professional, where you were a part of group decision making that went against what you felt was right or best. Analyze what factors led you to reduce your opposition or stop arguing against the group’s stance. Hint: try to use some of the factors examined in lecture that can contribute to groupthink. For instance, explain whether you were pressured by other group members to conform. Describe...
For the following questions I would like you to discuss the particulars of each attack scenario and how Kerberos defends against it. You will need to consider various elements of the attack scenarios. Some attacks can be implemented between multiple Kerberos components. For example, a MITM attack could occur between various components at various times. State your assumptions about how the attack is occurring, then describe how Kerberos defends against it. Good answers will describe both the particulars of the...

You are consulting for a medium size business that has antiquated hardware. The big question is whether they should invest in all new hardware (three to six servers depending on how many services they want to install on a single server) or to pay for a cloud hosting service to host many of the company’s servers. The CIO is very much in favor of virtualizing the servers in the cloud. She sites cloud computing ability to grow or shrink capacity...
