2.

Employers should take different initiatives as follows to lessen the occurrence of retaliation.

A. Deal each and every complain or grievances against an employee or made by the employees with setting up a high powered committee. Here, the high powered committee should work independently and have members from different functions and departments. Besides, these members should have no any direct interaction with employees concerned in day to day operations.

B. There should be clearly defined rule book and it should be well explained to employees so that there is no any scope of misunderstanding between employees and employers so that retaliation claims are reduced.

C. Develop an organizational culture where employees are treated as one of the most important stakeholders and they should be first counseled and then given written warning against any undue behavior from the side of employees. At the same time, concerned authorities should also be intimated for the same. It will weaken the employee's retaliation claims and it will also be a lesson for the other to not to follow this type of route.

D. Bring transparency and objectivity in approach toward decisions so that employees do not find any scope fo making retaliation and hurt the employers.

Above steps will reduce the retaliation claims.
