Graphics plays an important role in keeping the audience intact with the document. Graphics adds visual/aesthetic appeal to the information on the document, it helps to maintain viewer interest and attention. It helps to create visual structure for information and links on the other document. It also helps to communicate and explain ideas visually.

There are many people who are visual learners, adding graphics to document help to focus on these audience. If we are taught a process verbally, we may not clearly understand the steps involved or more importantly may not remember the instructions.

The objects that can be added to the documents in order to enhance the visual appealing of it are:

Clip Art: A gallery of clip art is available in Word and MS website. It enhance the visual appealing of the document.

1. To insert a clip art, go to insert tab and click clip art.
2. Clip Art pane appears on the right side of the screen.
3. User can search the desired clip art and can add it to the document.

Inserting Pictures: User can also insert pictures that has been stored in the disk or any other storage medium.

1. To insert a picture, go to Insert tab and click picture.
2. Browse the location of picture, select it and then click Insert.

Drawing Shapes: A variety of shapes can be added to the document for better understanding of the content. A flow chart, UML etc. can be created with these shapes to show the process flow.

1. To draw a shape, go to the Insert tab and click Shapes.
2. Select a shape and draw it on the document.
