Answer #1

1) B-A large scale cyclical disturbance in ocean and atmosphere conditions in the tropical Pacific Ocean, Which is related to major shifts in planetary-scake atnisogeruc abd iceab curcykatuibs.

ENSO is associated with both El Nino and La Nina events.

2) A- Increased atmospheric convection and rain

3) C- La Nina

During La Nina phase we have steepest thermocline and during El Nino phase we have the least steep thermocline.

4) A, El Nino

During El Nino phase we have the flattest thermocline.

5) C-3-7 years....12-18 months

During El Nino phase the normal condition reverses i.e. we get a higher temperature at Eastern Pacific and lower temperature at Western Pacific. That's why the wind blows from Western to Eastern Pacific and we get high rainfall at the eastern Pacific area i.e. at the American region.
