From your perspective, how does the material in your textbook on the topics of self-presentation and social perception relate to the passage from Matthew 7:3-5, in which Jesus asks: "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eyes when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Please! Please! According to my perspective, the self-presentation and social perception related to the passage from Matthew 7:3-5 is that many people in our society they can easily find out the mistakes even the smallest one from the others rather than themselves. Most of the people the point out others for big or small mistakes even though they have the same mistakes but they didn't find own mistakes. Even if they find own mistakes they have many excuses for the mistakes. In our humanity environment most of the people get jealous easily and want to put others down and likes to correct or judge others but don't like if someone correct or judge them. Many people thought that they are better than others in work or any. So, they most of the people easily find out others for every mistakes but they cannot see the same mistakes from own. If someone do a mistake most of the people forgot those thousand good things, they will easily find that single mistakes because good things are represent the white paper and single mistake represent the black spot. So, people focus only on that single black spot which is on the paper and forgot the background which is white paper, which is bigger.

In Matthew 7:3-5, Lord Jesus Christ was trying to teach to the people it is a sin to judge others by being the same like others. If someone want to judge or correct he/she should be perfect or should not be the same like others.

For instance, if a father drunk the alcohol but he judge his son not to drink or judge someone for drinking alcohol, such kind of judging are sin or not appreciate by Lord Jesus.

Only Lord Jesus Christ is the one in the world who can judge someone or correct someone because He never do any mistake or wrong to others. But in our human society people want to place themselves in the position of Jesus Christ.
