Describe how the science of Chemistry contributes to your everyday life.
Chemistry is in everday life.
We cannot live without chemistry. Let us see how
1) The only source of energy for earth is Sun, which emits radiation being absrobed by plants.
Plants use this energy for production of O2 due ot presence of chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is a pigment which absorb energy due to its chemical structure.
2) the photosynthesis is a chemical reaction
6CO2 + 6H2O --> C6H12O6 + 6O2
3) the use of oxygen by us is through respiration is a chemical reaction again
C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6CO2 + 6H2O + liberation of energy
4) the food we eat is digested by enzymatic action (again a chemical reaction)
5) The water we drink gives us minerals (ions dissolved in water)
6) Everything is made up of chemicals
7) the boiling of water at different pressure is different at differnt temperature ( colligative property , Rault's law)
8) Our emotions are even controlled by release of chemicals in our body (hormones)
etc
Describe how the science of Chemistry contributes to your everyday life.
Describe a problem you face in your everyday life or at work. How might you use hypothesis testing to find a solution or improvement to that problem? Would you conduct a one-sample or two-sample test? What would be your null and alternative hypotheses? Please no more than 200 words. Anything simple is ok!

Is science a belief system? Why or why not? How can science help guide our everyday decisions from the personal to the national to the global?
Describe the concept of stoichiometry. Give an example of stoichiometry that you see in your everyday life. How will this knowledge help you in your healthcare career?
Polymer chemistry is a major synthetic tool in material science. In your own words (2 or 3 sentences), describe why industrial laboratories would utilize polymer chemistry to make their products. Remember, industrial laboratories wish to make large quantities of material quickly and cheaply (3 pts)

Describe how you personally experience acid/base chemistry in your own daily life. The context could be nutritional, medicinal, agricultural, industrial, commercial, or any other relevant application of your choice. Are neutralization reactions reversible? Explain. How do industrial and vehicular emissions contribute to the ongoing problem of acid rain? Describe how acidification of water may be damaging to buildings, forests, or human health. Research and briefly describe a real-life application of chemical equilibrium. How do we as a society benefit from...
