Some of different types of database applications are-

Human Resource Management-For information about employees, salaries, payroll, deduction etc.

In various industries-Manufacturing unit and warehouse both need a seperate database to keep the records of the products produced and the products which are being stored.Warehouses should keep of track of the units that are supplied into the market.

Banking : For storing customer information, day to day credit and debit transactions of the customers, generating bank statements,keeping track of loans taken etc.

Sales: To store customers information, product information like price and the no. of units available in the store currently, and purchase details of the customer.

Airlines: When we make a booking for a flight this data is stored as a reservation in the airlines database along with the all the relavant information of the ticket buyer.

Tele-communication Industry:Keeps the track of all the calls made, data usage of various customers, customer details, plan vaidity etc. Without the database systems it is very hard to maintain and analyze that huge amount of data that keeps updating very frequently.

Online shopping/E-Commerce: Example-Amazon, Flipkart etc. These sites store the product information, your addresses and preferences, liked products, card details details and provide you the relevant list of products based on your query by searching from the product database.
