A perfect calorimeter does not absorb any heat and nor does it lose any heat. But in this case qcalorimeter < 0 shows that the calorimeter also gives off heat to the reaction.

This means that the reaction absorbs more energy than it should have in the ideal case.

So the temperature difference will be larger than it should have been becaus of the input from calorimeter as well.

Thus the measured dHrxn would be more endothermic than the true dHrxn.
