a:- A report is a proper document that presents information in an organized as well as structured format for a specific audience and for a specific purpose. The complete form of reports are almost always in the form of written or typed documents.

b:- The functions of reports are:-

• Providing detailed outlook for a topic ( eg: Population growth in USA)
• Generating creative insights : ( Reports on production maintenance impact on overall business process)
• Consolidation of information( Reports on number of Engineering colleges in USA)
• Decision making and planning support : ( Reports on New implementation programs requirement in organization)
• Providing reliable permanent information ( Fuel surcharge report from oil manufacturers)
• Provides framework for policies ( Cultural diversity policy report
• Disclosing unknown information ( Bid rate and project ownership report for a new process)

Attiriton rates is one of the challenging area in human resource management. It is very difficult to replace one person who works in a system for a long time because of experience, connect and capabilities. Hiring cost for many organization has increased drastically due to lack of efficiency in hiring, changing mentality of candidates on job etc. Attrition is majorly because of job dissatisfaction, increasing pressure, less salary, minimal motivation etc. Sales job is very dynamic in nature which needs regular upskilling on the products/services, competitor analysis, interpersonal skills etc. Attrition is majorly because of lack career plans from organization, immense pressure or sales number , salary variation etc. Attrition rate in US sales market itself is increasing at the rate of 2.5% every year.
