One of the major challenges to AI’s involvement in memory and learning is that artificial intelligence needs more data than the human brain. It’s because of its limitations in deriving at conclusion with the limited amount of sensory inputs it’s exposed to and without enough data artificial intelligence may not be able to function and adopt to the environment successfully. Secondly, AI is limited in its multitasking ability thus its ability would focus on one task at a time. It’s because it won’t be able to remember the learning for a longer time when it needs to recall it. When the machine learns another skill, it would have hard time recalling the previously learnt things. Finally, training the AI requires more time and training which would mean that without such specific training AI wouldn’t be able to produce the expected results and they might end up making mistakes that would cost more.
