The Tower of Pisa is located next to the Cathedral of Pisa, in Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of miracles) in the city of Pisa, Italy. Your task is to research the tower and create a mathematical model for its dilemma. The question that your research and mathematical model will answer is "Will the Tower of Pisa lean forever, or will it eventually fall?" If it is going to fall what year do you predict that it will fall and why? If it is not going to fall, why and what model demonstrates this? Please create two models for the tower. One model doesn't include any fixes made to strengthen the foundation. The second model includes fixes made to stabilize the foundation in the late 1900s and early 2000s. Remember that you must look at past and current environmental conditions that the tower is subjected to. You also need to extrapolate your model into the future. Does global warming play a role in the demise of the tower?
