create a project that you would like to lead as the case for this course. You must create a project plan that lasts at least 3 months and involves a project team of at least 6 members. The project may occur in a for-profit or non-profit organization, including a church or school. The project will be comprised of several components, using Gray & Larson as a guide
As we know that the main steps in project planning as per Gray & Larson
Step 1: Defining the Project Scope
Step 2: Establishing Project Priorities
Step 3: Creating the Work Breakdown Structure
Step 4: Integrating the WBS with the Organization
Step 5: Coding the WBS for the Information System
Considering the school as a profit organization with 6 teachers and 3 months of course of plans, project planning is explained below
Step 1: Defining the Project Scope
School is the place where students learn from teachers, even though we have many technologies or search engines (example: Google in smart phones). Parents send students to school/college because whenever we finds doubts teachers will there to help students by clearing doubts and understanding the concepts . This process is one of the main scope of project
Step 2: Establishing Project Priorities
This stages establishes very important work among all other work involved in school
Let take an example of 6 teachers , all the teachers are involved more in completing the syllabus and giving the best results to the school. this is one of the main priorities of all other works that teacher will do when he/she inside the school. Similarly there are many activities they are arranged based on their importance
Step 3: Creating the Work Breakdown Structure
After establishing the priorities, the assigned works to teachers are breakdown based on the subject knowledge that teachers have. All the teachers takes the subjects which they are familiar. This is process of creating the work breakdown
Step 4: Integrating the WBS with the Organization
The breakdown subjects to teachers are then informed to organization that which they are teaching. And any updates from organization will updates to students. This communication between school and children’s makes the integration between organization and work
Step 5: Coding the WBS for the Information System
Once the teachers completes syllabus to students, teachers gives assignments/test to check the capabilities of students. The examinations results from those tests act as information system. Hence this process in school act as coding of WBS for the information system.
