Answer #1

There are 2 choices for a question. either do it or leave it.

Total number of ways a student can answer any number from 0 to all 16 = 216 = 65536

Number of way to answer 0 question = 16C0 = 1

Number of way to answer 1 question = 16C1 = 16

Number of way to answer 2 question = 16C2 = 120

Number of ways to complete the assignment by solving at least 3 question =

65536 - 1 -16 - 120 = 65399
