The gravitational potential energy of the object when it is at the top of the building is
PE = m g h
Where m is the mass of the object, g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the height of the building.
PE = 2 kg x 9.8 m/s2 x 20 m
PE = 392 J
When the object reaches the ground, the gravitational potential energy becomes zero.
