An individual's sense of righteousness develops in due course of time. According to the social learning theory, people learn from the people around them. If A person ( child/adolescent/teenager/adult) hang out with people who are okay with breaking laws, then the person himself or herself will also be okay with breaking laws.

Crime and Society do not exit in isolation. Every bit around us- books, hoardings, music, lifestyle etc, contributes to our perception and thought process. Hence, the A criminal mind set is not an overnight adoption of thought. Rather, it is a gradual process from good thought through evil thought.

Thus, study of crminological theory excluding the social context s not possible.
