Residents of the Elliott-Chealsea Houses express uncertainty about their future in the neighborhood. Danny wonders whether they will give his mother money to move out. Brandon said it is like a big question mark on what’s going to happen next. The young man sitting in the bench says he feels like if they are already starting to push them out. The gentrification process has started giving a middle class outlook to the poor neighborhoods thus, either make things costly and expensive or would make their stay expensive. Although this would mean that the neighborhood would become more posh and neat, it would force those already living in poverty to move out due to the rising prices and leave them without any scope for survival. Although, it’s seen as a process of making the neighborhoods safe, it’s the process of racial and class based discrimination which would provide the rich more place to live and leave the poor shattered.
