The instructor gave us the following null hypothesis and information:

Joe collected a self-report questionnaire from students from three different elementary schools in his school district on their overall Attitudes toward Physical Education. Joe wanted to test the following null hypothesis:

H01: There is no statically significant difference between fourth grade boys and girls overall Attitudes toward Physical Education.

I need help putting together an appropriate overview and choosing an appropriate methodology and research design based on the information given. The instructions for the paragraph are as follows:

The abstract summarizes the contents of the manuscript. The abstract should begin by broadly summarizing the problem and importance of the study in 2-3 sentences. The abstract should then clearly and concisely state the purpose of the study. Next, the abstract should contain a brief description of the target population, sampling methodology, description of the sample, and sample size. The abstract should also identify the research design and methodology. Finally, the abstract should name the instrument and explain the procedures for data collection and statistical analysis. The abstract should not contain any in-text citations. The recommended length is 200-250 words.

As per given information above,

Joe should divide the sample into two different stratas so that it could be easy to sample and analyse the collected data and then joe should create null hypothesis as followed:

Null hypothesis- there is no significant difference between the fourth grade boys and girls attitude towards the physical education

Alternative hypothesis- there is significant difference between the fourth grade boys and girls attitude towards the physical education.

Now, to summarize data into short calculate descriptive of the sampled data,

most importantly mean and standard deviation.

Now , the important part is to find test-statistic and conclude the decision according to test statistic.

If you divide the sample into two independent samples then you can use two independent z-test,

After calculating z-critical value from the predefined formulae of two independent sample, by using standard normal table you need to find p-value to conclude.

According to the decision rule, when p-value< 0.05 then you will reject the null hypothesis otherwise there is no significant difference.

You may also find the type-2 error if want to calculate by just using the formula.
