Managed services is the way of outsourcing of certain processes and functions in order to improve operations and cut expenses. Proliferation of branded concepts means flooding the market with many brands with an intention to capture the market. By creating multiple branded concepts and outsourcing certain services like manufacturing and packaging of the products saves a lot of time and cost. The company will simply market the product under its brand name. For example, Automobile companies are using brand proliferation in managed services. They are using different brands to attract customers towards them and by outsourcing various engine or spare parts manufacturing work to other companies saves their time and cost. Similarly, in India 'Patanjali' is using the same concept providing no space to its competitors. It has a number of brands and also outsourced manufacturing and packaging of different products to local companies which proves to be economic for Patanjali.

So we can say that it's a trend in managed services to incorporate different brands in all segments of the industry.
