By defining who is responsible for poverty (the individual or society) our sense of obligation to help the poor is also influenced. Explain what needs to be done to reduce poverty in our society assuming that it is the individual’s fault.
First of all ,I personally believe that everyone is equally responsible for poverty .Poverty is the state of being inferior in quality or lack of money hence , being in a state of extremely poor even to satisfy his or her own basic requirements of food ,clothing ,shelter etc.Poverty is determined taking into consideration the health ,age,sex,place of birth,number of children,level of education,skills etc of the members of a family of society,
As per the question asked, assuming the poverty in the society is individual's fault ,the following are the thing which indiviadiin can do to rectify their mistakes or faults
First of all ,we as individuals should take care of our 'needs 'and not 'wants'.For this we shoulds know correctly what is our want and nede.There may be many wants that might make us happy or feel comfortable before others but we should keep in mind that our wants can reduce the availability of basic needs of some others people are are very urgently in need of it.So keeping a right balance between our wants and needs is really essential.
The other things that we can do is ,trying to be more helpful to people.It should not be just an act to impress someone instead ,we ourselves should be impressed and feel proud of our acts.Such should be the act that help us to live and let others live.The helping act should come from within and should become a part of us.
Neither should we judge a person on the basis of his or her looks nor should we give others to judge us.We should have a stand of our own.But keep in mind, the world around us can see only our fault, rarely do they notice positive aspects.But such attitudes which pull us back from fulfilling our desires should be removed.
Just like a Tamil actor ' Vijay' quoted ' Your determination when you have nothing and your attitude when you have everything ... 'determines who you are?.Keeping this in mind we can really make a change in the world around us.
As individuals we can keep aside a part of our earning to assist the poor.But we should make sure that the support we give reaches the right individuals.Social supportive groups can be created to assist the socially backward classes .
The financially independent people should develop a feeling of brotherhood to assist them.Assistance does not means providing the people with money ever month,instead it means that they should be provided with enough employment opportunities rather than assisting them with money. Creating an employment opportunity according to their ability is much better.
Economically independent individuals could assist individuals set up small scale factories or hand made item shops etc which will not only be beneficial in assisting them but also in protection of environment and contribute to the economic growth of the country.
Individuals can start earning for themselves so as to eradicate poverty ,make some investments that are really reliable.Making proper planning of financial expenses and using the money or wealth acquired in overall development of the economy.
Take up researches to know what is the cause of poverty apart from the basic problems like unemployment , number of members, health etc
Individuals can reflect on their own and come up with unique solution for their own problems.
A few motivation programs can be set up to instill a desire in the people leading a life of poverty to lead a happy and prosperous life .Not only showing them inspiration but also provide opportunities.
A few examples are given below which shows that ever individual can contribute to the society and it's prosperous life.
