3 categorical variables recorded on these countries: Does the country have a nuclear program, Is the country part of the UN Council , Does the country participate in UN peace corps?

Here' the difference between the two:

Quantitative variables measure some characteristic of interest. Categorical variables just describe, but don’t measure, a characteristic of interest.
