  • In 1865- 13th. Amendment- abolished slavery ,
  • In 1868- 14th. Amendment - making freed slaves citizens of the United States of America and at the state wherein they lived,
  • In 1870- 15th. Amendment.- stated to vote to men of any race.

1.) The role of the Thirteeth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution in equal employment opportunity:

  • The 13th. Amendment was passed in 1865 for establishing equal employment Opportunity,
  • Because, This amendment is to demolish or eradicate the slavery, which was acting on human beings before this,
  • This was U.S.of America’s 1st. attempt or called as first step towards trying to establish race as a protected class.

2.) The role of the Fourteeth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution in equal employment opportunity:

  • The 14th. Amendment was passed in 3 years later of 13th. Amendment i.e. on 1868 to make a bigger contribution for U.S. Constitution in equal employment opportunity.
  • This amendment is to to provide or support for equal protection for all citizens in the United States of America.
  • This took the last Amendment i.e. 13th. Amendment to one step further by considering race and color as a protected class, not just African Americans.

So, the outcome of these two amendments as follows:

  • nation struggled with what role 4 million newly freed slaves may added in American life.
  • With the attempt of the Radical Republicans, the Constitution was amended to grant full citizenship to former slaves and
  • To promise them equal treatment under the these laws,
  • This was a promise that took more than a century to fulfill.
  • So, both national and state citizenship upon birth, thereby protecting the legal status of the newly freed slaves,
  • This is stating - equal protection of the laws- as it is equality to the Constitution for the first time so defining the equality in the employment opportunity which was not before-1868,

Conclusion:

Finally, these amendments protected rights throughout the nation and established equality as a constitutional value so as to well behaved national economy requires all people can engage any job-oriented exams/interviews,placements, as it represented a great expansion and taking of the power of the national government over the states of U.S. and serving equally protected economy.
