when volume is found to be in units cubed, why does units (not units cubed) transfer when putting volume into volume of a sphere equation volume into volume of a sphere equation?

Yes when the volume is in cubed we can directly put this cubed volume in sphere volume equation.

Reason : Basically cube is the reference volume for any of the three dimenssional geometry. Means we are calculating tje volume if any of the figure or solid with reference to the cube

for eg. : if a sphere has the volume of 22 cm3 it means that the the material which can accomodate in the sphere will be equal to the material which is being accomodated in 23 cubes of 1 centimeter dimession. Simply the volume of sphere is equal to the volume of 23 volumes of equal cubes of dimenssion 1 cm.

Another aspect is Dimenssional analysis dimenssion if both formulas are same.
