1. Consider the following measurements of the amount of oil produced by two U.S. Oil Shale Formations (in gallons per ton).  Can it be concluded that the two population variances are equal? (Hint: Look at f @ α=0.05 on the appropriate distribution with the correct degrees of freedom, if it’s bigger than the calculated f, then the probability is bigger than 0.05 and the variances may be considered equal.)
