Ho or null hypothesis is usually when you estimate a parameter to be equal to some fixed value like in 1-sample t-test, 1-sample z-test, 1-sample proportion test,

it could also be that you test for equality of two parameters like in 2-sample t-test or z-test where null hypothesis is

mu1 = mu2

or sigma^2_1 = sigma^2_2

Alternate hypothesis can be left-tailed, right-tailed or two-tailed

For example in 1-sample t-test

Ha: mu > 25 (say) (right-tailed)

Ha: mu < 25 (left-tailed)

Ha: mu 25 {two-tailed)

each of test can be done on SPSS

Since you have not specified which test you want to conduct

say you want to conduct 1-sample t-test

analyze -> compare means -> one sample t-test

similarly you can conduct other tests also
