This course helps me to improve my critical thinking skills because by taking this course, i am able to think more accurately and assess my own self learning. Metacognition is "cognition about cognition", "thinking about thinking", "knowing about knowing", becoming "aware of one's awareness" and higher-order thinking skills. this can confuse people like in the start i was confused how this is used and how this will be applied in our life and how it would help us in future.
The part which create difficulty for me to understand is to s elf-assessing and self-correcting in response to the self-assessment. this was difficult because we can assess others in less time but when it comes to us we forget that what are our strengths and weaknesses if some one asked us. we can make you count other's strengths and weaknesses but our self assessment becomes difficult.
to overcome this, i use metacognitive method in which is sat in silent environment and think from start .to self assess, i take a paper and start to write my strengths by taking notes of my achievements and skills. then i start to think about what are my weaknesses like i get frustarted when i am hungry or i lose temper when someone tease me etc.
This strategy will help in my professional life because if i apply for any job and employer ask about my strenghts or weakness or ask me to assess mylself then i would be prepared in advance. this will also help me to know my weaknesses and overcome that.
