3. A write_lock operation is issued after a read_lock operation because without read_lock operation write_lock operation cannot be executed.

A transaction is an atomic unit which consists of one or more SQL statements. It begins with first executable SQL statements and ends when it is committed or rolled back. Until the statement is committed in transaction it can be rolled back and all of the changes of the statement can be undone.

Example: In a transaction,

read X=100

X= 100 + 500

write X=600

In the above transaction first read X=100 then 500 is added which is upgraded and added with 100 then it is upgraded and it is added and write 600 and the new amount is added in the particular account.

So, a write_lock operation is issued after a read_lock operation is executed.
