1. With the implementation of the “Made for You” – McDonald’s made to order process; the metal warming bins were removed because McDonalds no longer made its sandwiches in advance – negating the need for warming bins.

2. To make their customer service faster and more efficient in the "Made For You” system; McDonalds implemented rapid speed toasters.

3. This equipment could toast buns in 11 seconds versus the industry standard of around 24 secs.
