Subnet Mask:255.255.255.0
Default Gateway192.168.254.1

Network address of host is 192.168.255.0
Network address of Default Gateway is 192.168.254.0

They are not same.
so, The default gateway was not on the same network as the host.

But default gateway must be on the same network as the host.
