Answer #1

Adolescent period is the transition period and it is the period between childhood and adulthood. Most of the changes occur in this period.

When an adolescent offender is caught, he is kept in imprisonment for rehabilitation. He should be provided the following facilities:

  • Proper system for education should be arranged.
  • They must be under psychological treatment
  • They should have all facilities for both physical and mental development.
  • They should be provided a familiar and friendly atmosphere.
  • The adolescent delinquents should not be kept with adults.

If the adolescent is involved in moderate violent activities or sexual discrimination or eve teasing or bullying then the offense should be considered lightly and he should be shown mercy.

But when he is involved in serious crimes like rape or murder, then the crimes should draw proper punishment with rehabilitation.
