what is an insignificant resonance structure in organic chemistry? Can anyone give examples. My professor said never to include insignificant structures or we will get marked down, but how do i know the difference between if it is minor or insignificant
Answer )
Insignificant resonance structures (less stable) are those with the highest charges and highest energy....
But significant resonance structures(more stable) are those with the leaset chargers and least energy...
For details please go through the attached solution..

If resonance structure with highest charges then it is minor or insignificant.... If resonance structure with least charges are major or significant...

Can someone draw the resonance structure for it. My professor
gave this to us but im not sure if I wrote it correctly, if so can
you guys fix it. thanks
This is organic chemistry so and it wasn't one of the subjects so
I don't know if anyone can help but I'll give it a shot.
Part III. Provide clear complete mechanisms that explain the following transformations. 3. H. propoanol
5. Resonance provides the basis for a large portion of organic chemistry and helps us identify sites of high and low electron density. We will see that the electron source (nucleophile) is attracted to the site of electron sinks or deficiency (electrophile). For the following, draw the curved arrow that shows the movement of electrons that takes you from one resonance structure to the other. Remember to always start your arrow at the source of electrons (r-bond or lone pair)....
I need help forming a hypothesis for a formal organic chemistry lab report. My TA stated that it's better to construct it not like a typical hypothesis statement ( If...then..). How would I do that and can you give examples of some? I've been going back and forth on trying to create it and if it helps the report is over the Wittig reaction...

Can anyone check if i my answer is well said Q:"We have seen the trends in the periodic table and some people have suggested that Silicon should be as versatile at forming all of the bonding Carbon does so that a life form based on silicon should be as likely as our life form based on carbon. Discuss the pros and cons of this theory." ........Here is my answer below .............. That being said, I think that Silicon based life...
Please answer the discussion question. Discuss a major concept that you learned in Introduction to Chemistry class? This is the discussion question how other students respond down below. Response 1 honestly, I believe the periodic table, and lewis structure will be stuck in my head for a long time. because when I had to do the drug study, I had to study more of it, especially the lewis structure. so I would say the major concept I learned in this...
I do not understand? Can someone give me an outline of what this entire thing means? Edit: Sorry, I would like to know the answer - but instead of a direct answer, I still want to learn it! So an outline of how to answer that question in full would be best, thank you. Question: In chapter 18, we have focused on large-scale as well as the inter- and intracellular events that take place during embryo-genesis and the formation of...
For my organic chemistry lab, we are supposed to identify all
significant peaks in each of the spectrums and label each “bond”
peak with its range in cm. I am really stuck and lost on this so
any help would be greatly appreciated.were also supposed to provide
explanations for how we know which structure is matched with each
of the spectrums.
Sik structures are given below, followed by sik IR spectra. Match each structure to its appropriate IR spectrum. Circle...
Python 3 Can anyone make my Python code more readable, by breaking up the code into smaller chunks using functions. If a piece of code tries to do several things, it should be broken up into several different functions. print("chatbot: Hello, I am chatbot. What is your name?") name = input("") print("chatbot: Nice to meet you "+name+". Tell me now, what is your age?") age = int(input("")) if age >= 16 and age <= 25: print("We are the same age!...
