A group of photographers want to cover a set of soccer games on a day in the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The games are held in several stadiums throughout the city. Only one game is held at each stadium that day. We know the starting time of each game, its duration, and the stadium where it is held. We are also given the travel times between different stadiums. We want to determine the least number of photographers required to cover the games. How would you solve the problem?

Answer #1

Suppose there is 's' stadiums and 's' number of games. {Given: one game to be held at each stadium}

Suppose one stadium needs only one photographer.

Case 1

So, If the time duration of each games clashes with each other then,

's' number of photographers minimum needed.

Case 2

if none of the games time duration clashes with each other then, {here time duration includes the travelling time to reach other stadiums}

only 1 photographer will be needed.

Case 3

some of the games time duration clashes. {Time duration includes travelling time}

In this case suppose 'x' number of games time duration clashes. (x<s)

then Only 'x' number of photographers needed.

Hope this helps with your problem. Please give feedback.

Thanks.

You are essentially making moves and decisions based off the other player. Sometimes you are able to predict the outcome by looking ahead to possible moves the other player may make. This is very similar to the strategy...
