the solution is made by dissolving sucrose ( non-volatile, non-electrolyte solute) in water.

So, the vapor pressure of the solution depends only the solvent.

According to raoult law, if a non-volatile solute is dissolved in water, the vapor pressure of the solution is

p = mole fraction of solvent (water) × vapor pressure of pure solvent (water)

Given that mole fraction of water = 0.9958

p = 0.9958 × 23.76 mm Hg = 23.66021 mm Hg = 23.66 mm Hg

Vapor pressure of the solution = 23.66 mm Hg
