Answer #1

Main memory:

The main memory is volatile memory that means it does not reside on permanent basis. The programs or spftware data which resides in the memory doesn't last long and is been removed once the machine is restarted.

Benefits of volatilily:

The main benefits of volatile memory are as follows:

  • They have comparatively high speed which is very important for programs nowadays which require large space and high clock speeds.
  • They also consume less power as compared to non-volatile memory. Hence, they can be used as power effective memory in future.
  • They are the faster type of memory with large storage capacity.
  • They also are faster than the secondary memory.

Hence, these are the future or we can say benefits of staying volatile.
