Do infants who are securely attached to their mothers grow into children who are very dependent on adults? explain your answer by referring to research on patterns of attachment

Attachment is a biological need of a child and it works greatly in his development. Attachment helps the child to grow spontaneously. A child always wants a secure attachment and the secure attachment can be provided by the parents. Child is emotionally attached with the child. This attachment grows because the parents care the child in his illness and other times. Mary Ainsworth says that the degree of sensitivity of the caregiver is a major factor in determining children's attachment and it also helps to mould his characteristics.

It is not right that a child who is attached to the mother will be dependent on the adults in future. Attachment is a natural instinct and every child bears this instinct. Then the child grows spontaneously and there is no bar in the development process of the child. So his attachment does not create any disorder. Bowlby says that sense of attachment is naturally selected and it grows immediately after birth. If an infant is provided secure attachment then it will never victim of any disorder.

Along with attachment the social interaction and cognitive development of the children occur as usual. The other types of development also appear with the help of mother. The child grows and goes to school. The secure attachment of the mother makes him free from anxiety. Naturally there will not be any disorder in grown up period.
