  • Ectoparasites are organisms that survive on external surface of other animals.
  • There are two types of ectoparasites : Permanant and Temporary.
  • Permanant ectoparasites suck blood from host and continues to live on the host for their entire life. Example : Scabies mite
  • Temporary ectoparasites comes in contact of host only for sucking the blood and move to another animal thereafter. Example : Female mosquito
