  • He pointed out that both the repubulicans and democrats are partying together at some event of an associate editor.In some sense one might feel relief thinking that the people run our government get along because of compromise.However,when these people are together and the government is still in discord,it is not too far fetch for one to think that,as Callahan put it,its about the 1% vs. rest of us.
  • While their goal maybe to create a better social and economic life for the middle and lower class citizens,this event gives us insight into the fact these members of society are working to benefit themselves and further their own self interest.They are sometimes doing this at the expense of the people they claim they are fighting for.
  • According to Callahan,therefore many Americans are angry at politicians,they say one one thing and do another.To that,many people would reply:thats just politics.
