(1) What is scope creep?
(Note: The textbook seems to have a partial definition, leaving out some factors. So while you may wish to start with the textbook, don't end there. Do a little research on the Internet or in a library, for instance, to see what factors are involved. Then give a better definition of Scope Creep in your own words (but also properly citing any references you used).)
(2) Is scope creep inevitable? That is, is it normal? Will we always (or at least, usually) have to deal with scope creep on any given project? Why or why not?
(3) How can we deal with scope creep? What can we do to prevent it, and especially what can we do to handle it if and when it does occur?
Ans 1: A scope creep is in reference to a project which its originals goal is to expand while it is in progress. it is a subtle process which starts with small adjustments and then becomes a project which takes longer to complete or fail before they are eventually finished. in addition, even if the project is complete it can be in the final deliverable which will look like nothing that was originally planned. so basically the scope creep occurs when new features are added to a product design which has been approved. some of the causes of a scope creep would be:
Ans 2: the scope creep will occur at any time when the project is proceeding due to the customer not knowing their needs. it can cause problems with the project including the budget of the project. in different types of projects, there is a different type of approaches depending on the type that you use. for example the waterfall project, the budget is set from the outset and the changes would need approval and justification. in addition, the agile project, would be more flexible with the budget but you will still be working within the specific parameters.
Ans 3: As a project manager you need to make sure you fully understand and know what is required of you from the stakeholder. Communicating and fully understanding what is required of you can prevent a lot. The project manager should know the specifics in & out on the project that you are working. The project manager should take into consideration minor adjustments if they are needed. Adjust deadlines if need be and make sure he/she follows up with the stakeholder.

This passage is an excerpt from a textbook published in the 1950s.) Science is often defined inadequately as “an organized body of knowledge.” This would make cookbooks, Sears, Roebuck catalogues, and telephone books science, which they are not. Sometimes science is defined simply as rationality, but that would make much of theology and metaphysics science, which they are not. Rationality is logical consistency, lack of contradiction. It is to be distinguished from reasonableness, the quality of a mind open to...

After Title VII was enacted, the country started out with such severe race issues that it was not until later that the fine-tuning of looking at color discrimination came along—even though the color issues had been around as long as race had. Be aware that while we tend to be faced with race discrimina- tion where the discriminator is one race and the discriminatee another, with color discrimination that is not necessarily the case. Often the discrimination is by people...
