In recent years, there is increased pressure on companies to follow environmental standards to perform their corporate social responsibilities. Many of the companies are proving to be leaders of CSR while some refused to be a part of it. Undoubtedly, the consumers of the present times prefer companies who perform their CSR. for this purpose, the assessment of the company Walmart lend the following findings:

• Walmart uses 26% renewable energy for its business operations. While the number could have been better and the company should strive to increase them, they are by no means a small feat for a company operating on such a large scale.
• Walmart delivers more than 80% of its waste. But for a company involving on a such a huge scale, even 20% results in tons of waste. However, the company is striving to reach Zero Wastage by 2025. That is a strong aim and Walmart will benefit greatly from producing zero waste.
• The company is however still lagging behind in producing greener products which means the company has to look for sustainable raw materials which are good for the planet to perform its CSR better.
