In one of my homework questions for thermos 2 it talks about steam generator but we've only discussed boilers. My question is are they not the same thing? Is there a difference and if so what is it, Online answers have been less than helpful.
The difference between boiler and steam generators,
In boilers, flow of water is circulated naturally and steam is generated by flowing water through Economiser, Steam drum and through furnace water wall and it goes to steam drum by riser pipes, In steam drum, water and steam is seperated by Drum internals and steam is superheated in convection and radiant superheater coils and final steam is fed through turbine for power generation or through pipes for process steam purpose. The pressure of steam is built up gradually inside the furnce and superheater coils.
In Steam generators,it has usually forced water circulation through series of tubes and is always kept under high pressure to prevent steam formation in the tubes and pumped water goes into steam seperator in which pressure is reduced and also some water flashes into steam. The steam generator does not have large steam drums like boilers and can generate steam in lower capacity but it has high heat flux.

Homework In this assignment you will be asked questions about water and osmotic pressure. Complete the assignment as directed and post your answer to the message board. Remember, do not upload files, I may not be able to open them so just leave everything on your post for me to read. You may use internet resources to respond but do not, that is do not, copy and paste from web sites. Also, using quotes does not make something your own...
The principle of indifference talks about how people are indifferent to what combination of goods they obtain if the goods provide the same utility. However, an individual’s indifference curve can be more weighted to a certain good if a person has a preference for one item over the other. Whoever has the most preference for the good, will demand the good the most, even if it is at a higher price. Those with minimal preference for the good will are...
Just make up the answers to these questions. It doesn't have to be specifically about my workplace so yeah. Do you think HR has a strategic role in your workplace, or is HR just doing more transactional type activities? Are some of your company's HR activities outsourced to other companies? Are some HR activities less easy to classify?
Hello! I have my homework due in 6 hours, so pleaseeee help me
out with these two small questions. Thanks!
first one depits natural gas, second one is also the same.
b. On the graph below, illustrate the increase in the price of gas associated with the following quote. (2 pts.) "Natural-gas prices are on the rise, thanks to a huge cold front forecast to sweep down over much of the country": MC=MEC+MỤC Demand MEC Quantity We were unable to...
Light Bulbs: Shining a Light on Bulb Recycling
We've received several questions about recycling light bulbs,
ranging from regular incandescents to compact fluorescents (CFLs).
Home Depot Canada is aiming to recycle 1.5 million bulbs by 2011.
Lasting six to 10 times longer than the average incandescent bulb
and using up to 75 per cent less electricity, CFLs save on power
consumption and cut your electricity bill.
Calgary Herald, March 27, 2008
The graph shows the market for CFLs.
Suppose the...
we've learned about the asteroid impact that occurred at the end of the Cretaceous period of Earth history, which led to the extinction of the dinosaurs. It created a crater called the Chicxulub crater, and temporarily altered the Earth's atmosphere, climate, and oceans so much that it caused a mass extinction. (You might also find it helpful to look at this geologic time scale because it shows when the Cretaceous, Tertiary, Permian, and Triassic portions of the geologic time scale...
please answer both homework questions!
2. Choose ONE of the following questions to answer: a. Why (from an evolutionary perspective) do humans live so much longer than the child-bearing and rearing years, compared to other (non-primate) mammals? The key here is to think about evolutionary advantages of longevity, and for whom? b. What are the implications (for medical practice, health policy, etc.) of normative genetically programmed aging and disease (e.g. Cellular Clock Theory)? This question is about medical practice (and...
Birthaay Paradox: Take 2 Homework. Unanswered At the end of June, a bunch of customers all having birthdays in July enter a bakery to order cakes for their July birthday celebrations. How many such customers must there be so that there is at least a 50% chance (>=.5 probability) that at least two of them were born on the same day in July (ignore the year). Assume that there are no other customers in the store and that there are...

Notice that under the article title it reads "An Exchange." This is an exchange between the two authors, so part is written by Orr and part by Meilaender. What is Orr's argument or position? Meilaender's? Which perspective is more compelling to you? Why? After reading the article clearly both doctors had a point of view and strong...
