Why it is in your best interest as an employee to exhibit strong productivity to your employer?
As an employee, it brings competitive advantage in terms of the inner competition between colleagues in a team or members of a workforce if we exhibit high work ethics, committed approach to performing and therefore display firm productivity in our work. The considerations for positions such as leadership or management, are made based on the commitment of the employee as well as what the employer receives about their performance. As a result, it builds a robust employer-employee relationship to bring values such as loyalty, motivation, and consideration into place. It also enables conflict reduction at a more structural level since we can achieve a stronger employment relationship. It would also feel better when we as a part of the organization are appreciated for our efforts. Some might argue that working extremely hard is just adding to our “striver syndrome.” Yet, for many, the fact that the employees notice their work, commends their growth, shows their potential for responsibility and affinity for a position of power can all be linked to our current position and productivity as it relates to performance.
