Sol.

As concentration of iron (III) acetate , Fe(CH3COO)3

[Fe(CH3COO)3] = 1.33 × 10-2 M

Concentration of Fe3+ = [Fe3+] = [Fe(CH3COO)3]

= 1.33 × 10-2 M

Now , Reaction of iron ( III ) sulfide , Fe2S3 :

Fe2S3 ----> 2Fe3+ + 3S2-

Ksp = [Fe3+]2 [S2-]3

1.4 × 10-88 = ( 1.33 × 10-2 )2 [S2-]3

[S2-]3 = 0.7914 × 10-84

[S2-] = ( 0.7914 × 10-84 )1/3 = 0.9249 × 10-28    M

Now , Reaction of silver sulfide , Ag2S :

Ag2S ----> 2Ag+ + S2-

Ksp = [Ag+]2 [S2-]

1.0 × 10-49 = [Ag+]2 × 0.9249 × 10-28

[Ag+] = ( 0.10811 × 10-20 )1/2 = 0.3288 × 10-10 M
